My brother purchased the CV axle upgrade from Modern MotorSports LTD. It consist of companion flanges to accept CV axles. Enables a bolt on swap of *300ZXT CV (4 bolt model) Halfshafts into 1970-1978 Z cars with R200 differentials. We had to sent our old flanges to them. We could of purchased the Billet companion flanges but decided to save some money. For the test. We took the Z-Car to Midlands Dragway to test the new setup. Were planning on Friday night 07/14/2006 but rain prevented us from doing so. We tried Saturday night, but when we attempted to make the 1st pass rain stopped us. Waited for the storm to pass, it did and waited for the track to dry off. Watched a few cars and bikes make some passes and we then tried a few passes. The 1st pass, we tried it. Did a descent burnout and launched but you can hear the rpm change due to traction. Made a second pass a little harder this time. 3rd pass well we lauched a little harder and the blower sneesed due to the weather conditions. Like 100% hummidty, still had a 60ft. time of 1.34 had to let go of it due to the sneese and still went through the lights at a 7.07 et. This is 1/8 mile. It would of been a 5.80 pass I believe.
If you notice the track conditions you can see the wet spots and the glare from our running lights on the wet spots. Until next time.......
